About Earn & Learn Scheme

The main objective of the earn& learn scheme is to develop a student as a multifaceted personality with academic excellence and a commitment to an egalitarian society. The scheme aims at bridging the gap between rural Bharat and urban India. This scheme is basically undertaken for the benefit of economically backward, intelligent and meritorious students from the rural areas to help them pursuit higher education.

The scheme further aims to inculcate the idea that no work is big or small and develops a work culture with the right aptitude among students. The vision in it is to keep our youth gainfully employed as well as to contribute from civil society. The scheme is at present being undertaken at the post-graduate level as well as at the graduate level in the college.

Nature of Work and Payment system

Each student works for two to three hours a day, at organic farming program, Mushroom cultivation, library, offices, gymkhana, hostel, MS-CIT center as well as working in the garden, Paper cutting, Watering a newly planted tree, cleanliness of the college campus etc.

Students working under this scheme are paid an honorarium of Rs.45 per hour as per the attendance sheet. The record of the same is maintained by the college Coordinator and Supervisor. The Students are suggested to open a bank account in Bankof Maharashtra at Sangamner. The honorarium of the concerned student is deposited in their accounts. The financial support bythe SPPUPis in the proportion of students admitted in the college. The ratio of financial support is 1 to 500 - Rs.75, 000, 501 to 1000 - Rs. 1, 50,000 whereas the college itself caters for the rest by SWABHIMAN KOSH S. P. Sanstha.
